With the release of Shadowbringers looming on the horizon; and the Excitement in the air, I’m proud to present to you The Blackest Night Preset, A Preset that aims to give a more Ominous and dark feel to your Final Fantasy XIV experience.
QuintMxao, HDR, FakeHDR, AmbientLight, Clarity, Tint, TechniColor2, AdaptiveFog, SMAA, Bloom, GaussianBlur, TechniColor, FilmicAnamorphSharpen.
Shadows and darkness surround you as it improves on overall environmental Aesthetics, Giving dark woods, Caves and somber areas a more Threatening image and nighttime appeal. Day times have a very Winter and cold feel and still looks great. Screenshots will look fantastic and with the Custom Tuned ADOF values, expect striking images to come through.
Tips, Tricks, and Grievances
I would highly recommend Lowering the Game Brightness and Gamma to a minimum or close to the minimum, Turning off the in-game FXAA will give you a few more FPS since I’ve used SMAA, as a very good Anti-Aliasing technique that helps with Choppiness but doesn’t stretch out the Textures and giving them a muddy look. As always its recommended you have a mid to high-end Rig to handle this shader since it uses very costly shaders, your fps may vary.
